Why We Exist?

I’m a product of people who showed up for me when they didn’t have to. As a teenager, I lost my father to Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). It was one of the hardest moments of my life and during that time, basketball became more than just a game. It became my outlet, my structure, and my sense of direction. But more importantly, it was the people around me—coaches, mentors, and leaders who stepped in and helped guide me when I needed it most. They didn’t just teach me basketball. They gave me belief. They gave me opportunity. That experience stayed with me.

As I got older and began building Perseverance Basketball, I started to see the same story play out again and again—talented, driven kids who simply needed the right environment and someone willing to invest in them. But not every family has the resources to access those opportunities. That’s why we created the Perseverance Foundation. This foundation exists to be that support system, to remove financial barriers, create access, and give more kids the same kind of opportunity that helped shape my life.

Because sometimes, all it takes is one opportunity…
and the right people around you… to change everything.
